Nigel Chia sul suo sito/boutique online presentarsi ha rilasciato un intervista in cui ha esposto la storia della sua vita .
Nigel Chia è nato in un piccolo villaggio di pescatori chiamato Sungai Besar in Malesia , la mamma era una sarta e quando era incinta passava giorno e notte a cucire e secondo Nigel è nato con questa passione però prima di studiare per diventare fashion designer ha studiato medicina che poi ha lasciato per quest’altra passione che è risultata vincente ha iniziato con le Demuse doll per poi dedicarsi a una collezione d’abbigliamento femminile .
I suoi abiti sono vera e propria alta sartoria e inoltre non costano un esagerazione considerata la minuziosità dei particolari e la mole di lavoro .
Nigel racconta che i suoi schizzi, i suoi disegni prendono ispirazione dai grandi stilisti quali Dior,Balenciaga. adora la scultura e l’ architettura insolita inoltre vuole che i suoi capi appaiano come usciti da un da un libro pop – up dove tutto è costituito da carta.
Nigel ci racconta che ama il procedimento della trasformazione del suo schizzo in realtà.la ricerca di accessori,capigliatura e trucco da abbinare ai suoi abiti, invece odia il procedimento del taglio del tessuto .
Nell’ intervista lo stilista racconta che la sua area di lavoro deve essere spaziosa ma semplice deve esserci solo una macchina da cucire,un ferro da stiro e una tavola grossa dove appiccicare tutti gli schizzi e le immagini di ispirazione,un paio di manichini e un grosso spazio per dare vita ai suoi progetti ovvero creare i suoi abiti per i materiali non viaggia per il mondo per scovarli si rifornisce dalla merceria a pochi passi da casa sua che per lui quindi è molto comoda.
ora partiamo con il primo look con i capi di questo designer :
è un abito rosa a due pezzi costituito da una gonna con rose e un top” alla scolaretta” con bordo finale che riprende il decoro della gonna: la gonna viene 55$ rosa ovvero 50-54 euro e il top viene 67$ ovvero 64- 66 euro a cui ho abbinato un paio di scarpe con tacco vertiginoso e plateau della new look : 30 euro per dare al look un po’ di grinta e per ogni giorno potete prendere una borsa capiente o non a seconda dell’ occasione e un cappotto.
secondo look composto da :una gonna color champagne con inserti di pizzo : 79 euro a cui ho abbinato un top di pizzo nero : 40 $ e un paio di stivaletti con plateau Even&odd: 50 euro.
terzo look : una gonna con maxi spacco :79 $ a cui ho abbinato un top peplum : 49 $
e un paio di scarpe con tacco nere asos : 42 euro
quarto ed ultimo look molto costoso composto da : una gonna con rose fatta interamente a mano :175 $ a cui ho abbinato una camicia con maniche trasparenti : 39 $ e un paio di scarpe con tacco con punta aperta asos : 43 euro.
